Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist with a robust background in training to join our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing sector. This role is essential for supporting and guiding both managers and employees throughout the entire employee life-cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of employee personnel files, conducting regular audits and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Organize and manage the archiving of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the coordination of benefits meetings and the processing of related documentation for health and retirement plans.
  • Support the Compensation and Benefits Specialist in tracking various leaves of absence, including short-term and long-term disability, FMLA, and personal leave.
  • Process leave of absence requests, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely communication with employees regarding their leave entitlements.
  • Develop and deliver HR-specific training materials for managers and employees, including conducting annual benefits open enrollment training.

Training Responsibilities:

  • Manage organization-wide training initiatives, creating and facilitating HR-specific training and support materials.
  • Implement corporate training and development strategies on-site.
  • Design, assist with, and monitor integration training courses for new hires and managers.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or managerial role, working with various employee levels.
  • A college degree is preferred; SHRM or PHR certification is strongly desired.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS platforms; familiarity with payroll and training materials software is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
