Cost/Pricing Analyst II Job Description

Chenega MIOS SBU is seeking a highly skilled Cost/Pricing Analyst II to support the Department of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (DAF RCO) and the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition Special Programs Division (SAF/AQL). As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice and guidance on cost and pricing issues, ensuring compliance with federal, DoD, and Air Force acquisition policy, law, regulation, and guidance.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide counsel to procurement personnel on cost and pricing issues, utilizing extensive contracting and pricing experience and knowledge of federal, DoD, and Air Force contracting and pricing regulations, policies, and processes.
  • Assist Contracting Officers in determining cost objectives and ensuring they are based on sound pricing principles.
  • Act as the primary cost/price analyst on complex or sensitive contracting issues, serving as the technical expert in pricing-related matters.
  • Review and evaluate contract price proposals for adequacy and compliance with laws, regulations, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Conduct in-depth analytical and judgmental evaluations of proposals to determine reasonableness, accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
  • Manage significant and complex agency acquisitions involving diverse supplies and services.
  • Evaluate technical, audit reports, and legal opinions to determine the various cost elements or justified exceptions.
  • May have formal supervisory responsibilities, including hiring, onboarding, oversight of timekeeping, performance assessments, managing tasking, and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (BA/BS) degree required.
  • 5+ years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience with no less than 1 year experience in an SAP and/or SCI environment within the past 5 years.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in classified accounting systems; Momentum preferred.
  • Active and valid driver's license.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Price cost analysis.
  • Receiving government contracts.
  • Pricing government contracts.
  • Cost realism.
  • Cost analysis.
  • Breakdown cost.
  • Regulations in CAS.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to work under aggressive schedules with demanding performance requirements.
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Ability to complete a government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Poly).
