The Premium Audit Department at The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is on the lookout for a premium auditor to evaluate property casualty commercial lines policies, ensuring accurate classifications, exposures, and premium bases. You will develop earned premiums in compliance with company, industry, and governmental regulations.

Note: Candidates must reside within the designated territory.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $100,000 annually. Pay is determined based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on both company and individual performance.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Traveling to commercial clients to conduct audits
  • Developing earned premiums in line with company, industry, and governmental regulations
  • Verifying premium bases by reviewing ledgers, state or federal quarterly records, financial statements, and other accounting documents
  • Investigating and establishing correct policy classifications through personal interviews and physical inspections of the insured's premises
  • Documenting changes in the insured's operations
  • Preparing and submitting comprehensive reports within established timelines
  • Interacting with agents and associates to communicate and support audit findings
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Solid analytical abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of the property casualty industry and its products
  • Experience in underwriting
  • Proficient automation skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Degree in insurance, accounting, or a related field
  • Industry designations such as Associate in Premium Auditing (APA) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
  • Experience in insurance or risk management
