Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at Lisa Management. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our affordable housing properties in Brooklyn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including trash removal, cleaning common areas, and organizing for DSNY pick up.
  • Maintenance Operations: Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, complete work orders, and track progress in management software.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
  • Contractor Management: Oversee contractor work in the field, report to the management team, and weigh in on needed vendor/contractor work.
  • Scheduling: Maintain schedules for tenant moves, contractor/vendor work, and other team activities.
  • Meetings and Initiatives: Attend required meetings and implement company initiatives in the field.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in building maintenance.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, excellent organization skills, and a high level of working knowledge in plumbing, steam heating systems, light electrical work, carpentry, and elevator systems.
  • Certifications: Standpipe, Fire Safety, HVAC elevator certifications, licenses, or completion of pertinent training courses (on-the-job training and licensing available).
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency preferred but not required.
