Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Navy Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our department, you will provide administrative support to our leadership team, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain data for reports and reference purposes.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and presentations, preparing agendas and materials as needed.
  • Manage travel arrangements, prepare authorizations, and review expense reports.
  • Monitor and direct phone calls, documenting as required.
  • Order supplies and services, reconciling invoices as necessary.
  • Partner with leadership to coordinate programs and initiatives, ensuring their successful execution.
  • Prepare and submit budget requirements for our Annual Financial Plan.
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Stay up-to-date on corporate business plans and marketing efforts.
  • Represent our department in disaster recovery plans.
  • Research and evaluate operational issues, inquiries, and complaints.
  • Review internal studies and surveys, providing summaries to leadership.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, sharing knowledge and business processes with other business units.
  • Plan, develop, and implement new and existing programs, campaigns, and special offers.
  • Recommend technical and electronic enhancements to improve administrative operations.
  • Identify areas for improvement, determine solutions, and implement enhancements to improve operations, standards, and results.
Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of expense tracking, budget preparation, and administration.

  • Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced communication skills with all levels within an organization.
  • Advanced initiative and judgment to make sound decisions.
  • Advanced diplomacy and tact when interacting with staff, management, vendors, and members.
  • Advanced presentation skills, presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced word processing and spreadsheet software skills.
  • Expert administrative support skills, methods, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
