Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Operations Manager to plan and manage the financial operations of our client. With an annual operating budget of almost $2M and a team of 16, this role will oversee fiscal and administrative integrity, information systems technology, human resources, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting
  • Enhance financial systems, controls, and processes
  • Develop annual budget and manage monthly variance reporting
  • Prepare regular financial reports for leadership and Board of Directors
  • Lead annual audit process
  • Manage investments, bank relationships, and payroll processing
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and nonprofit best practices

Grants Management

  • Develop proposal budgets and ensure grant compliance
  • Provide timely financial reports for grant monitoring

Information Technology

  • Manage IT operations and ensure data security
  • Develop comprehensive Knowledge Management System

Operations

  • Oversee contracts, leases, and service agreements
  • Manage organizational risk across finance and operations

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of management experience in finance, with 5+ years in operational disciplines
  • Nonprofit sector experience with knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent financial analysis and communication abilities
  • Strategic acumen for long-term planning
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills
  • Collaborative managerial style

Additional Details

  • Schedule: Full-time; Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
  • Salary Range: $90,000-$95,000
