Position Overview: We are seeking an exceptional Specialty Hospital Director to oversee the operational and business aspects of a large veterinary hospital that encompasses general practice, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, and emergency care. This role is pivotal in maintaining a high-quality medical environment while fostering a collaborative culture among staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the hospital's profit and loss statements to ensure financial health.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
  • Focus on exceeding client expectations through exceptional service.
  • Oversee a team of approximately 50 associates, including veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
  • Develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Implement and enhance onboarding, training, and continuity programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the veterinary community.
  • Assist in the recruitment of medical professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in specialty or emergency veterinary management is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of engaging veterinary professionals.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities, coupled with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience leading a specialty hospital or multi-site operational business.
  • Proven success in building high-performing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • History of driving revenue growth while balancing immediate needs with long-term goals.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible schedule and availability required.
  • Work environment includes interaction with pets.
  • Periodic travel may be necessary.

Compensation: Salary range is $90,000 - $115,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, paid vacation/sick days, 401(k), and generous employee pet discounts.
