Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Jean Georges Group. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist in service in accordance with the requirements and practices of the restaurant.
- Take the lead in growing wine and beverage sales in the restaurant.
- Maintain awareness to customer focus and attention to detail.
- Work the floor during service with an emphasis on beverage sales and up-selling opportunities.
- Train staff on quality level of service regarding body language, eye contact, and proper verbiage.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all wine, spirits, coffees, teas, etc.
- Responsible for ordering all bar products-liquor, beer, wine, and consumables to par.
- Assist in preparing for and performing weekly inventory of all beverage department products.
- Assist in researching and conducting comprehensive beverage training for FOH staff.
- Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of all decanters, wine stations, and all storage areas pertaining to beverage.
- Open and close the restaurant as needed.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant setting.
- Advanced knowledge of food and beverage, Avero, Compeat, Open Table/Resy, and Aloha.
- Must be friendly, engaging, gracious, and have the ability to focus and connect with all guests at all levels.
- At least 3 years of fine dining experience and at least 2 years of experience as a Beverage Manager.
- Full availability, including daytime hours, evening hours, and weekends.
