About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team at Optum in the Tri-State region. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing primary diagnostic examinations to diagnose or decide the optimal procedure for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures and operate related equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Ensure proper file identification and anatomical orientation on all required images
  • Provide exceptional patient care, protecting patients from excessive radiation and observing vital signs during examinations
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication
  • Contribute to efficient out-patient operations, maximizing productivity and quality standards
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification
  • Demonstrated ability to use computerized systems and associated devices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
  • 1+ years of experience in general radiologic technology
  • Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions, communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
Physical Demands
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for equipment operation

New York Residents Only: The hourly range for New York residents is $23.22 to $45.43 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and more. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
