Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures to diagnose or decide the optimal procedure for patients.
- Create a comfortable and tranquil environment for patients to adhere to examination instructions.
- Identify anatomical orientation on required images and ensure proper file identification.
- Demonstrate competency in performing radiographic procedures and operating related equipment.
- Provide excellent patient care, protecting patients from excessive radiation and observing vital signs during examinations.
- Provide coverage as needed, including call-outs or extended patient schedules.
- Provide instruction and mentoring to new hires.
- Maintain CPR certification and perform procedures in compliance with Standards of Care, facility, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to efficient out-patient operations, maximizing productivity and utilizing sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
- Review examinations for technical accuracy, present completed examinations to radiologists, and communicate pertinent data to responsible parties.
- Demonstrate teamwork, interact positively with employees, and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Meet or exceed deadlines, follow through, and demonstrate accountability, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Enhance professional growth and maintain certifications, registration, and active CMEs through education programs, conferences, and workshops.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certified.
- Demonstrated ability to use or learn the department's computerized system and associated devices.
- Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.
- 1+ years of experience in general radiologic technology.
- Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for equipment operation.
- Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films.
