We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Thoracic Surgeon to join our team at West Virginia University Health System. As a member of our esteemed Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of internationally renowned academic thoracic surgeons.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care, utilizing minimally invasive techniques and advanced surgical methods to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to patients with thoracic and esophageal diseases.
- Engage in clinical and translational research, leveraging our dedicated Division of Research to advance the field of thoracic surgery.
- MD or DO degree (or foreign educational equivalent) and eligibility for state medical license.
- Completion of a general surgery residency program and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program.
- Board certification or board eligibility in thoracic surgery.
