Thoracic Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Thoracic Surgeon to join our team at West Virginia University Medical Corporation dba University Health Associates. As a member of our esteemed department, you will have the opportunity to work alongside internationally renowned academic thoracic surgeons who are part of the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute and Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV, and may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative atmosphere that allows you to practice advanced medicine in a highly satisfying academic environment.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent patient care, including minimally invasive lung and esophageal surgery
- Be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
- Contribute to the development of clinical and translational research
- MD or DO degree (or foreign educational equivalent)
- Eligibility for state medical license
- Completion of general surgery residency program and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program
- Board certification or board eligibility in thoracic surgery
