Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled General Thoracic Surgeon to join our team at West Virginia University Health System. As a member of our esteemed Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, you will have the opportunity to practice in a collaborative and dynamic environment that fosters academic excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care, utilizing minimally invasive techniques and advanced surgical methods to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in clinical and translational research, collaborating with our dedicated Division of Research to advance the field of thoracic surgery.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for state medical licensure.
  • Completion of a general surgery residency program and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in thoracic surgery.
