We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team at the City of Albuquerque, NM. As a key member of our public safety department, you will be responsible for overseeing the security operations and activities within our assigned division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate security activities and operations within the assigned division
  • Coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies, and the general public
  • Provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to higher-level supervisory or management staff
  • Ensure the safety and security of our employees, visitors, and assets
  • Develop and implement effective security protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals and objectives
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by 30 credit hours of college-level coursework in law enforcement or criminal justice
  • Four years of security experience, including one year of lead or supervisory experience
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or ability to obtain by date of hire
  • Possession of a City Operator's Permit within six months from date of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Operational characteristics, services, and activities of a security-supervision program
  • Modern and complex principles and practices of maintaining security equipment
  • Principles of municipal budget preparation and control
  • Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation
  • Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations
  • Principles and procedures of program development and implementation
