Job Title: Retail Remodel Superintendents

Are you a seasoned construction professional looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in retail remodel and upfit projects? We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Remodel Superintendent to join our team.

About the Role:

The Retail Remodel Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the construction of retail remodel and upfit projects from start to finish. This includes coordinating with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities
  • Coordinate all field operations to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications
  • Maintain construction schedule including short interval production schedules, identify and solve problems
  • Order materials and schedule inspections necessary throughout the project
  • Understand Project plans and specifications
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees
  • Prepare daily reports, safety reports, schedules, and supervise completion of a final punch list
  • Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards
  • Ensure all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy & regulatory requirements, including storm-water compliance
  • Maintain a clean organized job site, including the construction office
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings - invites all trades
  • Reviews job cost reporting and assists PM in maintaining budget control
  • Reviews subcontractor scopes of work and provides feedback to PM prior to contract award
  • Establishes staging plans and manages site logistics
  • Collaborates with PM in scheduling the critical path craft pre-construction meetings prior to mobilization
  • Provides feedback of reviewed submittals for compliance and coordination
  • Responsible for quality work being put in place - workflow for crafts, suppliers, employees and third party contractors
Requirements:
  • 4 to 6 years experience running crews or supervising remodel / upfit work
  • Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production in all phases of construction
  • Retail Remodel / Retail Upfit for Publix and/or Walmart
