Position Overview:
The Mechanical Assembly Specialist is tasked with assembling components to create the woodworking machinery models produced at HOMAG Machinery North America. This role involves ensuring the quality and functionality of components while making necessary adjustments to machinery tolerances. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, flexible, and a collaborative team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze mechanical blueprints to effectively install components for machine assembly.
- Utilize mechanical skills, hand and power tools, and inspection measurement equipment to perform diagnostic functions and verify accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot and rectify malfunctions identified through testing.
- Review production checklists for completeness and quality, making adjustments and repairs as necessary.
- Provide support to team members as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 1-2 years of experience in assembly production is preferred.
- Ability to read and utilize blueprints and schematics.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Familiarity with KanBan or other production efficiency processes is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are necessary.
- Self-motivated and dependable individuals are encouraged to apply.
- Must be a team-oriented individual.
- Starting pay range is $18-24/hr, based on experience.
- Quarterly bonus potential of $480 (estimated additional $1/hr).
- 17 vacation days provided upon hire, prorated by start date.
- 11 Paid Holidays included.
- Immediate enrollment in 401(k) plan with employer contribution of 50% up to 6% of employee contribution.
