Stage 2 Engine Assembly Specialist

Position: Stage 2 Engine Assembly Specialist
As a Stage 2 Engine Assembly Specialist at Stoke, you will be integral to the assembly of our cutting-edge Stage 2 rocket engine. This position demands proficiency in various manufacturing techniques, teamwork with engineers, and the ability to work independently on assembly tasks. You will contribute to design enhancements, document assembly procedures, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure a well-organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precise assembly of rocket engines following detailed instructions
- Fabrication of intricate engine components based on work orders, schematics, and verbal instructions
- Organizing builds, managing inventory kits, identifying shortages, and procuring necessary materials
- Thorough cleaning of hardware components
- Maintaining and organizing the work area, including layout, tools, and inventory management
- Identifying discrepancies, reporting nonconformities, collaborating with engineering, and documenting processes
- Adhering to work orders for component assembly and documenting the assembly sequence
Essential Qualifications:
- Significant experience in mechanical or manufacturing sectors
- Expertise in precision assembly of complex engine systems
- Understanding of welding techniques, fittings, seals, and sub-component parts
- Experience with oxygen, cryogenic, and FOD intolerant systems
- Familiarity with pressurized systems and testing of flight hardware
- Capability to manage delicate assemblies and communicate effectively
- Willingness to work second shifts and weekends
