Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at Eastland Preparatory Academy in Columbus, Ohio. As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a superior education for all students, creating a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Instruction
    • Prepare and deliver lesson plans that meet the needs of all students
    • Modify instruction accordingly during the school year
  • Classroom Management
    • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
    • Manage student behavior in the classroom
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate and meet with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child
    • Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Technology Integration
    • Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
    • Bachelor's degree in education or related field
  • Skills and Experience
    • High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to properly manage confidential information
    • Able to supervise students of various ages in different school settings
    • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
