  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication, instructional strategies, student management, and professionalism.
Essential Duties
  1. Advises Parents and/or Legal Guardians of Student Progress: Keep parents informed about their child's progress and involve them in the educational process.
  2. Adheres to Local School Procedures and Regulations: Demonstrate loyalty to the school and its leadership, avoid behaviors that detract from staff morale, and work cooperatively with colleagues and the community.
  3. Assesses Student Needs, Progress, Expectations, Goals, etc.: Identify student needs and develop strategies to support their learning and development.
  4. Collaborates with School Personnel, Parents, and Various Community Agencies: Work with school staff, parents, and community agencies to provide support and resources that promote student success and well-being.
  5. Demonstrates Prompt and Regular Attendance: Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  6. Demonstrates Methods Required to Perform Assignments: Provide effective instruction and support to students.
  7. Exhibits Professionalism in All Job-Related Situations: Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
  8. Facilitates Preschool Students' Learning: Provide engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote student learning and development.
  9. Provides Instruction That Is Appropriate: Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  10. Accounts for Student Attendance and Punctuality: Monitor student attendance and punctuality.
  11. Directs the Conduct of Students: Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
  12. Models Conversation, Manners, Clean-Up Activities, Listening Skills, etc.: Demonstrate positive behaviors and attitudes that promote student learning and development.
  13. Follows All County, State, and Federal Policies and Procedures: Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
  14. Meets Certification and Accreditation Standards: Maintain certification and accreditation requirements.
  15. Seeks to Improve Through Professional Development and Evaluation Activities: Engage in ongoing professional development and evaluation activities to improve teaching practices.
