Role Summary
If you have a passion for engaging with children and fostering their creativity, this role is designed for you. Our Explorers program serves as an after-school and summer camp initiative for students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. As an integral part of our team, you will facilitate homework assistance, promote character development, and encourage collaborative and imaginative projects.
Key Responsibilities
The Explorers Teacher is responsible for bringing our educational program to life, ensuring that students thrive in a supportive environment. This role includes:
- Supervising and managing classroom activities, ensuring the personal care and positive discipline of children.
- Implementing the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum, which focuses on the physical, social, and emotional development of children.
- Preparing educational materials and organizing classrooms for various activities.
- Conducting all activities in a safe, structured, and engaging manner.
- Coordinating field trips during the summer camp and serving as a chaperone for these adventures.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
- Meet ODJFS employment requirements.
- Be capable of lifting up to 35 lbs. for the safe handling of children.
