Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our team at Omni Hotels & Resorts. As a Food Runner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Delivery: Deliver food to guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that orders are accurate and complete.
  • Knowledge of Menu and Floor Plan: Have complete knowledge of our menu and floor plan, including table numbers and seat numbers.
  • Order Verification: Verify orders on tickets to ensure that food is delivered to the correct tables.
  • Guest Service: Inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform servers or managers as necessary.
  • Expo Line Setup: Set up the expo line with items specified in side work.
  • Breakage Minimization: Minimize breakage and ensure that food is handled and stored properly.
  • Staff Meetings and Training: Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Breakfast Buffet: Set up and break down the breakfast buffet according to time allotted, and maintain and replenish breakfast buffet items to ensure they are full, clean, and presentable.
  • Warehouse Order: Place and receive warehouse orders daily and ensure proper par levels of product.
  • Food Safety: Ensure that all products are within date and stored using the FIFO method.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of food runner experience or DRA experience.
  • Wine Knowledge: Must have experience in selling and presenting wine.
  • Availability: Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Appearance and Attitude: Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
  • Certifications: Must be Food Handler and TABC certified.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in an indoor/outdoor environment.
