Job Title: Faculty, Audio Engineering

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced faculty member to join our Audio Engineering department at Austin Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of audio engineering, as well as contributing to the development of our curriculum and programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach and mentor students in audio engineering courses, including lectures, labs, and studios.
  • Develop and implement curriculum and programs in audio engineering, including course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Contribute to the development of our department's strategic plan and goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Music, Radio-TV-Film, Commercial Music Management, Music Business, Performance and Technology, Audio Technology, or related field.
  • Three years of non-teaching, industry-related work experience in audio engineering.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching audio engineering courses.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard audio software and hardware.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative curriculum and programs.
