Advanced Systems Group is seeking an experienced Audio Technician to join our team of professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, WA, and Austin, TX. As an Audio Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality audio production for live corporate events.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Production Team: Work closely with the A1, Director, Producer, and client to understand sound requirements for each production.
- Audio Equipment Management: Lead the organization, distribution, and tracking of wireless microphones, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- On-Stage Audio Support: Manage all on-stage audio needs, including positioning body-worn microphones and running cables.
- Intercom Management: Manage all wireless intercom needs, including programming beltpacks and ensuring users have the necessary equipment.
- Loudspeaker Troubleshooting: Understand and troubleshoot loudspeakers as needed.
- Run-of-Show Execution: Follow the run-of-show document to ensure smooth show flow.
- Audio Element Coordination: Coordinate with other crew members to execute audio elements before and during shows.
- Rehearsal Support: Conduct rehearsals, working closely with the A1 to ensure all needs are met.
- Cue Execution: Take direction from the stage manager or show caller to ensure all cues are executed as intended.
- Sound Checks: Perform sound checks before every performance to guarantee optimal audio quality.
- Minimum 3 Years Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as an A2, preferably for large or high-profile events.
- Live Event Experience: Experience in live event corporate settings, working with high-level talent is a must.
- Communication Skills: Comfortable working closely with others, often placing microphones requires close contact with the talent.
- Audio Technology Expertise: Experience with audio technologies including Shure Wireless Workbench and Microphones and Sennheiser EM9000 Wireless Microphones.
- Situational Awareness: Good situational awareness, as often high-profile individuals need attention from the A2 to test and replace microphones.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology.
- Programming Skills: Ability to program microphone systems and other audio equipment effectively.
- Audio Transport Standards: Good understanding of audio transport standards such as Dante, MADI, and Twinlane.
- Adaptability: Ability to multitask and adapt to rapid show-flow changes in a live and fluid environment.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent control room demeanor, proven leadership skills, team-first attitude, and the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
- Service-Oriented Approach: Ability to take a service-oriented approach to this position, with a desire to help clients achieve their best result.
