Facilities Operations Specialist

Job Summary
Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA is seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining physical plant systems and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient, safe, clean, and comfortable facility operation in support of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate physical plant systems and equipment, including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning, steam and hot water generation, power generation, pumping, controls, transportation systems, medical and compressed gases, electrical and life safety systems.
- Perform adjustments to systems as necessary and perform testing, corrective and preventive maintenance of systems as assigned or as required.
- Maintain shift log sheets, complete work orders, and purchase request forms as required.
- Analyze and report plant system failures or deviation from routine operation.
- Test and monitor water chemistry for steam, heating, and chilled water loops.
- Maintain assigned mechanical rooms and service equipment in clean, well-maintained, safe, and reliable condition.
Requirements
- Coursework/training in mechanical systems and/or related field.
- Hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of commercial heating and air conditioning systems.
