The John Stewart Company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front desk staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor traffic in and out of the building, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, visitors, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Write end-of-shift reports and incident reports, documenting any unusual building activity or incidents.
- Enforce project policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with fair housing regulations.
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean and organized at all times.
- Assist with office responsibilities, including completing work orders, comment cards, and visitor violation forms.
- Distribute resident mail on a daily basis.
- Fill in as requested when other desk clerks are absent.
- Participate in annual tuberculosis testing and follow Exposure Control Protocol for blood-borne pathogens.
Requirements
- Experience working with people of various cultural backgrounds, especially those with special needs.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and fair housing guidelines.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate fluently in English.
- Good sense of awareness, urgency, and follow procedures to solve problems.
