Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at Akahi Associates, LLC. As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for scheduling medical appointments, maintaining accurate patient records, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Responsibilities:

Scheduling medical appointments and maintaining accurate patient records
Answering main office phone line and directing calls to appropriate sections
Maintaining appointment schedules using government computer systems and standard protocols and procedures
Validating basic CHCS patient demographic information prior to booking appointments
Making required updates to patient records
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient schedules and logs

Requirements:

High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency
Basic medical terminology required
At least one year of experience in medical office scheduling or a related field
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Work Environment:

The work can be sedentary, but may require some physical demands, including walking, standing, sitting, or bending. Must be able to carry 25-50 pounds and reach high shelving units with the assistance of step ladders to retrieve and file medical records.
