Customer Support Specialist

The Customer Support Analyst will serve as a key resource for consolidating and translating business requirements into functional design documents, ensuring seamless software development and customer satisfaction.
This role involves reviewing business and product needs for complex projects, providing support to customers, and authoring requirements documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, from planning to implementation and maintenance.
Responsibilities include:
- Eliciting, writing, and communicating business requirements between development and clients
- Translating complex business requirements into technical solutions
- Making technical solution recommendations based on understanding of technical solutions' impact on the business and stakeholders
- Preparing HTML mockups of proposed screens and developing functional specifications according to standard templates
- Defining business rules and logic, as well as acceptance criteria
- Performing requirements gathering and business analysis through techniques such as data gathering, reviewing current system documentation, business process modeling, and gap analysis
- Working on the day-to-day maintenance of existing content to ensure it is up-to-date and maintained in a timely manner
- Serving as a conduit between the operations community and the software development team
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, 2+ years of experience in requirements gathering and preparation of functional specifications, and strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong customer service skills.
