Position Overview:

We are seeking a Surgical Sales Representative to join our dynamic Sales team. This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 base, in addition to commissions and bonuses, which will be determined based on relevant experience, educational background, and geographical location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and direct all sales and marketing efforts within the designated market to cultivate new accounts while nurturing existing relationships.
  • Implement the company’s sales strategy and market penetration objectives, ensuring effective execution of all sales initiatives.
  • Formulate and execute strategies aimed at enhancing market share by identifying targeted therapeutic specialties within the assigned territory.
  • Manage a developing market with a team of contract sales agents, focusing on key account strategies and business planning.
  • Establish systems and procedures for key accounts to ensure optimal product utilization, superior patient outcomes, and a positive customer experience.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on sales performance, market forecasts, and conduct detailed analyses of market opportunities and challenges.
  • Develop and mentor local contract sales agents, managing resources and budgets to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  • Analyze market-specific sales factors to leverage opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Foster a performance-driven environment that emphasizes accountability, teamwork, and success.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and standards in all sales activities.
  • Support the local sales team by addressing inquiries, providing approved materials, and participating in meetings.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with assigned accounts, acting as a liaison between the local sales team and contract agents.
  • Utilize company contracts and resources to recruit new contract sales agents and develop training programs to enhance product knowledge.
Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a BS/BA in a relevant field, with 2-5 years of experience in a related area, including 1-3 years in progressively responsible roles. Alternatively, a MS/MA with 1-3 years of relevant experience is acceptable. Certification may be required in certain areas.

Preferred candidates will have 3-4 years of experience in the medical device, biotechnology, or tissue segments of the healthcare industry, with a proven track record in high-growth organizations.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Adept at engaging with all levels of management and customers.
  • Ability to influence outcomes through tenacity and diplomacy.
  • Organized and flexible, capable of multitasking while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Proven history of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to cultivate a network of relationships with healthcare providers.
Work Environment:

This role involves working at customer and clinical sites, as well as from a home office. When on-site, adherence to dress codes and credentialing requirements is mandatory. Regular travel within the assigned territory is expected.
