Position Summary
The Terminal Operator II is responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of liquid commodities from railcars and tanker trailers to the storage facility, totes, and other containers. This role requires the ability to operate in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors. The ideal candidate should possess a foundational understanding of hydraulic systems, mechanical and electrical pumps, hose connections, basic hand tools, and computer skills. Additionally, the ability to read scale weights, interpret sight glasses, calculate storage capacities, and collect product samples is essential. This position also involves driving a tractor trailer within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Efficiently load products from the facility to tanker trailers and railcars using pumps and hoses.
- Unload products from tanker trailers and railcars back to the facility.
- Transfer products from tanker trailers to totes utilizing pumps and hoses.
- Unload products from totes back to tanker trailers.
- Participate in safety meetings and adhere to safety protocols.
- Ensure timely completion of loading operations.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work order guidelines.
- Utilize various measuring instruments to ensure accurate loading volumes.
- Read and accurately interpret documentation, such as load orders.
