Professor and Chair of Food Service and Lodging Management Department

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to serve as the Chair of the Department of Food Service and Lodging Management at the University of Central Florida's Rosen College of Hospitality Management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the department's academic programs, including curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and governance. They will also serve as the department's advocate to fulfill the mission of the department, college, and university.
The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in a relevant field, prior experience in a leadership capacity within higher education or industry, and a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of professor.
Responsibilities- Lead the department's academic programs, including curriculum development and faculty recruitment
- Serve as the department's advocate to fulfill the mission of the department, college, and university
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the department's goals and objectives
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote a culture of excellence and innovation
- Represent the department to students, faculty, administration, and the industry
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field
- Prior experience in a leadership capacity within higher education or industry
- Demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of professor
