About the Opportunity

The University of Central Florida's Rosen College of Hospitality Management invites applications for a full-time, 12-month professor and chair of the Department of Food Service and Lodging Management. We seek candidates with expertise in food and beverage management, hospitality operations, restaurant management, lodging management, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the department's academic programs, including curriculum development and governance.
  • Recruit and manage faculty, ensuring a strong and diverse team.
  • Oversee the department's financial affairs and participate in the College Executive Committee.
  • Represent the department to students, faculty, administration, and industry partners.
  • Foster interdisciplinary studies programs and lead faculty in research and grant development.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience in leadership within higher education or industry.
  • Demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated research record with publications in top-tier hospitality and tourism journals.
  • Current and consistent teaching and service record, meeting UCF standards and aspirations.
  • Experience in hospitality industry operational management.
