Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, Renewable Energy and Chemical Transformations Expert

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor to join our interdisciplinary cluster in Renewable Energy and Chemical Transformations at the University of Central Florida. As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen our academic offerings and research mission, we are looking for a candidate with a strong background in catalysis science and engineering, as well as expertise in fundamental research encompassing areas of heterogeneous catalysis, catalytic synthesis of fuels, plasmonic catalysis, and catalysts for wastewater remediation.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in renewable energy and chemical transformations, with a focus on catalysis science and engineering.
- Teach and mentor students in the department of physics, chemistry, or material science and engineering.
- Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and integration with existing research activities in the cluster.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and outreach activities.
- Ph.D. from an accredited institution in physics, chemistry, materials science and engineering, or a related field.
- Consistent track record of competitively funded research grants and contracts.
- Demonstrated research leadership ability and interpersonal skills.
- Years of experience in a similar position: Assistant professor: Two (2) years. Associate professor: Five (5) years.
- Experience performing research at the highest level: Assistant professor: Four (4) years. Associate professor: Six (6) years.
- Consistent track record of impactful publications.
