Position Overview:

Mead & Hunt, a prominent and award-winning consulting firm in the professional services sector, is seeking a full-time Mechanical Project Engineer to join our expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

The role encompasses the following duties:

  • Delivering technical guidance, oversight, and leadership to the mechanical project team.
  • Participating in client consultations.
  • Executing services during the construction phase.
  • Providing mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Supporting business development initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel and access military bases and airports is necessary for this position.
Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical or architectural engineering.
  • A minimum of 6 years of pertinent mechanical engineering experience.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license in any state, with the capability to obtain licensure in additional states.
Preferred Experience:

The preferred candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Designing hot water, chilled water, and condenser water systems.
  • Designing Variable Air Volume (VAV), Geothermal, and/or Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems.
  • Designing and specifying Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems.
  • Designing mechanical systems for Federal Government projects.
  • Implementing sustainable design practices.
  • Designing steam systems.
  • Providing commissioning services.
  • Designing plumbing systems.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, skill set, or location.
