POSITION OVERVIEW
This is an introductory role within our organization. The Junior Proposal Coordinator will assist Senior Proposal Managers in crafting intricate government proposals and bid submissions. The Coordinator is tasked with ensuring that all proposals are meticulously executed from inception to completion.

This encompasses the implementation and coordination of all stages of the proposal process in response to government and commercial requests for proposals (RFPs), while also ensuring timely responses within established deadlines.

This role will additionally involve supporting business development and marketing initiatives as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to:

Proposal Coordination

  • Assist in proposal development alongside capture managers from initiation to award.
  • Define, schedule, and oversee the proposal preparation process, including detailed analysis of RFPs.
  • Coordinate proposal activities with the technical division, contracts department, contractors, subcontractors, finance department, and human resources.
  • Prepare and monitor teaming agreements.
  • Supervise the proposal writing team; coordinating efforts and ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Draft standard sections of proposals.
  • Ensure proposals comply with RFPs and relevant regulations.
  • Draft project descriptions, gather visuals for new projects, and create resumes for new personnel.
  • Manage databases containing project descriptions, project visuals, and employee resumes.
  • Respond to annual local government requests for qualifications.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of one year of experience in leading and/or providing technical writing services for substantial government proposals.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred experience in leading proposal efforts for Department of Defense construction, architecture and engineering, and/or environmental RFPs.

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and follow through independently.
  • Capability to deliver compliant, professionally crafted proposals.
  • Proven ability to engage and motivate a diverse group of Engineers, Project Managers, Consultants, and Subcontractors in proposal writing efforts.
  • Exceptional facilitation and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of government and military contracts.
