Job Summary

As a Senior Project Coordinator at Grace Pacific LLC, you will play a crucial role in supporting the success of our projects. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing contract documents, coordinating construction activities, and preparing project schedules for contractors and subcontractors. You will also be responsible for maintaining a database of active projects, assisting with project correspondence, and confirming material and equipment requirements with the Project Engineer or Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution
  • Review and analyze contract documents and requirements
  • Prepare and update project schedules for contractors and subcontractors
  • Maintain a database of active projects
  • Assist with project correspondence, including schedules, RFI, proposals, and daily reports
  • Confirm material and equipment requirements with the Project Engineer or Manager
  • Coordinate submittals of material specifications with internal contacts as needed
  • Assist with data for profitability of all assigned projects
  • Assist with project billing information to accounting and follow up to ensure payment
  • Review cost data and provide forecasting information regarding projects
  • Investigate and initiate new methods and cost-saving procedures
  • Assist with final project audit and reviews project procedures to ensure continued improvement
  • Assist with customer relations for assigned projects
  • Assist with time sheets, travel, and clerical work for assigned projects

Working Conditions

  • Work hours may vary, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs
  • Inter-island travel may be required based on operational needs

Equipment Use

  • May be required to drive a company vehicle to job sites

Mental and Physical Demands

  • Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to reason logically and make sound decisions
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Must be able to interact effectively with people in a positive manner
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 30lbs

Requirements

  • Basic math skills to perform daily tasks
  • Able to read and understand contract documents
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Sufficient keyboard proficiency for daily tasks
  • Valid driver's license and favorable abstract required
  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in the construction industry
