Capital Health Nurse Residency Program

Capital Health is seeking highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurses to participate in our Nurse Residency Program. This 15-month program is designed to transition new graduate nurses into competent professional nurses, providing a comprehensive learning experience that includes didactic lectures, clinical rotations, and hands-on skills workshops.

Program Highlights
  • 15-month program with a focus on clinical excellence and leadership development

  • Web-based modules and clinical preceptor-guided experience
  • Multidisciplinary observation experiences and mentor program
Requirements
  • Minimum two-year commitment to Capital Health in a full-time position
  • ASN or BSN graduate with a valid NJ RN license
  • Zero experience as an RN
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Positions are limited, and the exact unit and shift will be based on the needs of Capital Health after completing clinical rotations. If offered a position, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Frequent physical demands include: pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, reaching, and lifting
  • Occasional physical demands include: sitting and climbing
  • Continuous physical demands include: standing, walking, and carrying objects
  • Lifting floor to waist: 25 lbs, lifting waist level and above: 25 lbs
  • Sensory requirements include: accurate vision, hearing, and color discrimination
