Position Summary

As an Automotive Service Consultant, you will play a vital role in our service department, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and the efficient operation of our services. You will act as the primary point of contact between our valued customers and our expert technicians, facilitating timely and accurate vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers warmly and professionally.
  • Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately record vehicle issues.
  • Provide clear explanations of suggested services and repairs.
  • Communicate estimated costs and secure customer consent for services.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and service bay logistics.
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure prompt repair completion.
  • Keep customers informed about their vehicle status throughout the service process.
  • Offer precise timelines for repairs and notify customers of any changes.
  • Maintain comprehensive service records for each customer.
  • Prepare and clarify invoices for customers, detailing services rendered.
  • Process payments and address any billing questions.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and service offerings.
  • Educate customers on maintenance schedules and recommended services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Consultant in an automotive dealership.
  • General understanding of vehicle mechanical systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • All candidates must demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks and valid driver’s license verification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Honda vehicles.
  • Familiarity with CDK software.

Compensation Structure:

  • OTE (On-Target-Earnings): $80,000 - $125,000+ annually
    • Based on meeting and exceeding dealership performance goals.

*The Automotive Service Consultant position includes a base monthly draw compensation and commission based on the value of completed repair orders, with no upper limit on earnings based on performance.

Work Schedule:

  • FULL TIME
  • 5 days a week with 2 days off
  • Closed on Sundays and one weekday
  • Service Hours:
    • 7am - 6pm
