Position Summary

The Automotive Service Cashier plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions with precision and efficiency. This position involves assisting customers with payment inquiries, invoices, and scheduling service appointments through various communication channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions for vehicle purchases, parts, and service payments in accordance with dealership protocols.
  • Conduct regular cash reconciliations and address any discrepancies.
  • Utilize the dealership's computer system to calculate customer bills effectively.
  • Securely process credit and debit card transactions, ensuring proper authorization and prompt receipt issuance.
  • Manage check payments with appropriate documentation and verification.
  • Generate invoices for vehicle sales, service, and parts transactions.
  • Issue cash refunds for approved merchandise returns accurately.
  • Collaborate with department managers to stay informed about new products, services, and pricing changes.
  • Assist the service department by answering phone calls and scheduling appointments.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in basic computer operations and office equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to multitask effectively while scheduling appointments in person or over the phone.
  • Comfortable with basic mathematical calculations and detail-oriented to minimize errors.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA and pass pre-employment screenings.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience as a cashier with appointment scheduling responsibilities.
  • Experience in an automotive dealership setting.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is $20.00.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position, 5 days a week with 2 days off.
  • Availability required between 7 AM and 6 PM, Monday through Saturday.
  • Sundays are designated as days off.
