Position Overview

The Electrical Engineer II role focuses on the development and enhancement of electrical systems within the renewable energy sector. This position is integral to the planning, design, and operational phases of hydroelectric and other renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities associated with the Electrical Engineer II position include:

• Conducting system design analysis and modifications.

• Preparing limited scope studies and assisting in cost estimations.

• Executing equipment performance tests and overseeing the installation of new systems.

• Performing site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards.

• Designing and evaluating systems and processes to align with company objectives.

• Developing moderately complex engineering studies and documentation.

• Guiding and mentoring junior engineers and technicians.

• Proposing alternative engineering solutions to meet operational needs.

• Managing external engineering services to fulfill project requirements.

For the Senior Engineer role, additional responsibilities include:

• Leading project teams and mentoring junior staff.

• Ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.

For the Senior II Engineer position, responsibilities expand to:

• Creating highly complex engineering studies and documentation.

Qualifications

The requirements for the Electrical Engineer II position include:

• A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.

• Familiarity with engineering principles and applicable regulations.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams.

• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.

For the Senior Engineer role, additional qualifications include:

• At least five years of experience in industrial or utility power systems.

For the Senior II Engineer position, qualifications include:

• An advanced technical degree or a professional engineer (PE) license, or eight years of relevant experience.
