Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer, Medical & Clean Manufacturing (MCM) plays a key role in the successful execution of projects at KFI Engineers. Reporting to the MCM Electrical Department Leader, this individual will provide technical and engineering excellence, as well as successful delivery of work to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with the design of power distribution systems, motor feeders, and starters
Support the design of building power and lighting systems, including special systems such as ground fault, lightning protection, emergency generator, UPS, etc.
Prepare engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and ensure application of Electrical Engineering Principles
Possess a basic understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Structural Engineering construction practices
Build knowledge of Codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IBC, Life Safety Code, etc.)
Assist with performing voltage drop and short-circuit calculations, arc fault analysis, and coordinating work with other departments and project team members as well as contractors

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Professional Engineering registration in Ohio, or the ability to obtain Ohio registration via comity
Ten plus years of electrical engineering experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to enable effective interaction with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers
AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drawing experience
Healthcare design experience is a plus
Familiarity with FGI guidelines and NFPA 99
Strong attention to detail, adaptable, and agile, responsive to quick changes in direction
Ability to establish rapport and credibility with customers and other stakeholders
