Job Title: Sales Manager

At RML Auto, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team to success. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all vehicle sales activities and managing salespeople in a courteous and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all salespeople.
  • Direct sales staffing and training to enhance the development and control of our sales process.
  • Handle all activities at the sales desk, ensuring proper conduct at all times.
  • Monitor and direct the assistant sales manager's daily activities.
  • Track all daily activities, including customer traffic, phone traffic, follow-up traffic, deliveries, CSI, and gross profit.
  • Work with the F&I department to ensure accurate information on all customers and their vehicle information.
  • Ensure the process for taking credit information is done lawfully and that all information is protected.
  • Ensure 100% turnover to the F&I department.
  • Ensure that company policy for Privacy Notices is being followed.
  • Work with F&I to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Ensure that Red Flag and OFAC checks are being processed and that company policies are being followed.
  • Assist F&I in the financing of all customers.
  • Ensure accuracy of all information.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of the DMS system.
  • Assist in establishing annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
  • Monitor salesperson productivity and performance.
  • Order and acquire new and used vehicle inventory.
  • Administer and monitor factory-sponsored programs.
  • Display, merchandise, and promote new and used vehicles.
  • Review market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs and volume potential and develop sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the dealership.
  • Serve as liaison between the sales department and other departments.
  • Ensure that all federal, state, local, and company policies are being followed to assure the safeguarding of customer information.
  • Attend managers' meetings as requested.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions with all salespeople.
