About the Role

RML Auto is seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to oversee all vehicle sales activities and manage salespeople in a courteous and professional manner. This individual will ensure that all Federal, State, Local, and company policies are followed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Training: Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all salespeople.
  • Sales Staffing and Training: Direct sales staffing and training to enhance the development and control of our sales process.
  • Sales Desk Management: Handle all activities at the sales desk, ensuring proper conduct at all times.
  • Assistant Sales Manager Oversight: Monitor and direct the assistant sales manager's daily activities.
  • Performance Tracking: Track all daily activities, including customer traffic, phone traffic, follow-up traffic, deliveries, CSI, and gross profit.
  • Customer Information Protection: Work with the F&I department to ensure accurate information on all customers and their vehicle information, and ensure the process for taking credit information is done lawfully and that all information is protected.
  • Turnover and Profitability: Ensure 100% turnover to the F&I department and work with F&I to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Red Flag and OFAC Checks: Ensure that Red Flag and OFAC checks are being processed and that company policies are being followed.
  • Financing Assistance: Assist F&I in the financing of all customers.
  • Accuracy and DMS System Knowledge: Ensure accuracy of all information and have a strong working knowledge of the DMS system.
  • Annual and Monthly Objectives: Assist in establishing annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
  • Salesperson Productivity and Performance: Monitor salesperson productivity and performance.
  • Inventory Management: Order and acquire new and used vehicle inventory.
  • Factory-Sponsored Programs: Administer and monitor factory-sponsored programs.
  • Vehicle Display and Promotion: Display, merchandise, and promote new and used vehicles.
  • Market Analysis and Sales Reports: Review market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs and volume potential and develop sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the dealership.
  • Liaison and Policy Compliance: Serve as liaison between the sales department and other departments, and ensure that all federal, state, local, and company policies are being followed to assure the safeguarding of customer information.
  • Manager Meetings and One-on-One Sessions: Attend manager meetings as requested and conduct one-on-one sessions with all salespeople.
