Job Title: Executive Director

Join the International Rescue Committee (IRC) as we seek an exceptional leader to serve as our Executive Director for our Salt Lake City and Missoula offices. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting the vision, articulating the mission, and overseeing program development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and articulate vision and strategy for the IRC local offices.
  • Engage actively with local leaders and communities to advance IRC's mission and work locally as a thought and operational leader.
  • Lead annual strategic planning process that exhibits your own strategic vision for the office and incorporates the input and programmatic vision of IRC staff.
  • Build and maintain unity among the staff, promoting compliance with the IRC Code of Conduct and taking responsibility for your team's actions.
  • Ensure timely and consistent communication with HQ on operational issues, policies, and reporting.
  • Develop and track annual resource development plan to ensure achievement of goals and adequate resourcing of restricted and unrestricted funds.
  • Provide vision and leadership for overall resource development strategy and develop a local fundraising plan based on analysis of office and program strengths, service gaps, and local environment.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible work experience with social services or humanitarian assistance programs.
  • Demonstrated staff management, program development, monitoring, evaluation, and advocacy experience.
  • Authentic leadership and ability to promote an organizational culture that reflects IRC's core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality.
  • Successful and significant fundraising and grant writing experience.
  • Financial management experience, including effective management of budgets.
  • Proven people management skills and ability to deliver results and translate words into action.
