Job Summary

Oswald Companies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Manager to join our team. As a Client Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, identifying and implementing cost-effective benefit solutions, and collaborating with internal resources to ensure client satisfaction.

A Day in the Life
  • Develop and implement comprehensive benefit strategies to minimize risk and maximize client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to ensure seamless client service and support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client contacts at the HR leadership and CFO levels.
  • Direct the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring accurate data capture and commission tracking.
  • Execute support team activities to meet client-specific needs, including annual service calendar planning and meeting coordination.
  • Work with support staff to ensure accurate online records and continuous maintenance of client information.
  • Collaborate with the service team on client deliverables, including pre-renewal projections, market evaluations, and pricing summaries.
  • Conduct open enrollment meetings and ensure accurate deliverables, including pre-renewal projections, market evaluations, and pricing summaries.
  • Prepare and secure commission agreements with carriers and Oswald's fee agreements, monitoring timely receipt of commissions.
  • Capture meeting notes and activities, providing information to support staff for processing.
  • Responsible for the final execution and delivery of meeting action items.
  • May drive strategic planning and collaborate with the Client Executive to develop and monitor a long-term, integrated health management strategy.
  • May develop detailed implementation timelines and plans, ensuring timely client deliverables through effective leadership of small teams.
  • Initiate renewal negotiation processes on behalf of the client, creating pre-renewal and renewal presentations for Client Executive review.
  • Direct the service team in developing client-specific enrollment portals.
  • Train support staff in key operational activities and processes, developing their skills and industry knowledge base.
  • Understand and guide clients on regulatory requirements, including Healthcare Reform, HIPAA, COBRA, and other legislation.
  • Attain further education, coursework, and skills development opportunities to obtain professional designations in their field of expertise.
What You'll Need
  • A college degree is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Life, Health & Accident License required.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of industry knowledge, including experience in medical benefits and ancillary lines of coverage.
  • Strong tactical skillset.
  • General understanding of technical concepts, including self-funding and different carrier solutions.
  • Strong relationship skills.
  • Ability to execute.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with little oversight.
  • Intuitiveness, knowing when to loop in Client Executive and leadership for escalated issues.
  • Ability to oversee CSA's and provide general tactical oversight.
  • Project management skills, able to work with internal and external partners to deliver results timely.
