Job Purpose

Oswald Companies seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our client service team. As a Senior Client Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients, providing strategic direction and leadership to the team, and driving sales growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of services to a group of selected accounts, leading multiple client teams in the planning, execution, and successful management of services.
  • Work closely with Business Unit Leadership to establish annual revenue, cost management, and staff development goals for the expansion of the practice in support of the company's comprehensive business plan.
  • Drive operational excellence through the establishment and execution of service standards, efficient processes, and system resources with accountability for team effectiveness.
  • Ensure team productivity by aligning duties, setting expectations, and measuring performance, collaboratively establishing annual objectives for designated team members and monitoring the achievement of goals.
  • Support overall team effectiveness through the timely completion and communication of assigned tasks and by sharing expertise and cross-training where possible.
  • Develop team member skills, individually and collectively, collaborating with Human Resources to select training and development resources that ensure employee needs are met.
  • Guide the client management staff in the design and development of a tailored renewal strategy for new or existing clients based on their individual utilization experience and exposures within the current coverage.
  • Assist in the management of the business unit's carriers and vendors, building a working relationship with key contacts.
  • Remain alert to changes in the marketplace and contribute to the innovation and development of the products and services provided, identifying and addressing expanding customer needs.
  • Ensure system compliance is met, conducting random quarterly audits to review accurate utilization of activity coding, including proper documentation.
  • Confirm all commissions are received accurately and in-house in a timely fashion.
  • Review all carrier and renewal contracts for accuracy and licensing requirements.
  • Maintain personal responsibility for a client base having a total book value from $500K to $1.5M, may act as an account's Client Executive where none is present or assigned.

Education and Previous Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (MBA preferred) from a four-year college or university and five to ten years or more of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior experience specifically required:

  • P&C brokerage and consulting experience required.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of risk data for presentation of servicing solutions required.
