Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer - IT Specialist

The Manufacturing Process Engineer - IT Specialist plays a crucial role in the design, implementation, and enhancement of manufacturing processes and systems, emphasizing the integration of IT solutions to improve operational efficiency and product quality. This position involves spearheading initiatives for process enhancement, overseeing IT infrastructure related to manufacturing, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Design and Enhancement:
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
  • Develop and execute new processes, tools, and methodologies aimed at boosting manufacturing productivity.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for process modeling and design.

IT System Integration:

  • Create and sustain IT systems that bolster manufacturing operations.
  • Apply process control methodologies and procedures utilizing IT solutions.
  • Guarantee the seamless integration of IT systems with manufacturing machinery.

Project Leadership:

  • Direct and manage projects focused on process improvement.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols to maintain product uniformity.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations on product designs and manufacturing workflows.
  • Keep comprehensive records of quality metrics and process modifications.

Training and Development:

  • Educate personnel on new processes and IT systems.
  • Offer continuous support and troubleshooting for manufacturing IT solutions.
  • Create training materials and documentation.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve any issues related to processes, procedures, and operations.
  • Compile reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Additional certifications in IT, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies are highly valued.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating IT solutions within a manufacturing context.
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense sector is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of IT systems and their application in manufacturing.
