The Manufacturing Process Engineer - IT Specialist will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and refining manufacturing workflows and systems, emphasizing the integration of IT solutions to boost productivity and quality. This position entails spearheading process enhancement projects, overseeing IT infrastructure related to manufacturing, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Process Design and Enhancement:
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing workflows to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and execute new processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize manufacturing productivity.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for process simulation and design.
IT Integration:
  • Create and sustain IT systems that bolster manufacturing operations.
  • Apply process control techniques and protocols utilizing IT solutions.
  • Guarantee smooth integration of IT systems with manufacturing machinery.
Project Management:
  • Direct and coordinate process enhancement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Quality Assurance:
  • Formulate and implement quality assurance protocols to maintain product consistency.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations on product designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Keep comprehensive records of quality metrics and process modifications.
Training and Support:
  • Educate staff on new processes and IT systems.
  • Provide ongoing assistance and troubleshooting for manufacturing IT systems.
  • Create training materials and documentation.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve any issues related to processes, procedures, and operations.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Additional certifications in IT, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies are highly valued.
Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating IT solutions within a manufacturing context.
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense sector is preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of IT systems and their application in manufacturing environments.
