Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer - IT Specialist

The Manufacturing Process Engineer - IT Specialist is tasked with the design, implementation, and enhancement of manufacturing processes and systems, specifically aimed at integrating IT solutions to boost operational efficiency and product quality. This position requires leadership in process improvement projects, management of IT infrastructure linked to manufacturing, and adherence to industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Design and Enhancement:
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing workflows to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and execute new processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize manufacturing productivity.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for process simulation and design.

IT Integration:

  • Create and sustain IT systems that facilitate manufacturing operations.
  • Apply process control techniques and protocols utilizing IT solutions.
  • Guarantee the seamless integration of IT systems with manufacturing machinery.

Project Leadership:

  • Direct and manage process enhancement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure project effectiveness.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and enforce quality control protocols to maintain product uniformity.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations on product designs and manufacturing methods.
  • Keep comprehensive records of quality metrics and process modifications.

Training and Assistance:

  • Educate personnel on new processes and IT systems.
  • Offer continuous support and troubleshooting for manufacturing IT systems.
  • Create training materials and documentation.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve any issues related to processes, procedures, and operations.
  • Compile reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Additional certifications in IT, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies are highly advantageous.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in the integration of IT solutions within a manufacturing context.
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense sector is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of IT systems and their application in manufacturing.
