Laboratory Support Specialist

A dynamic and engaging laboratory environment is in search of a highly skilled Laboratory Support Specialist. Are you the one?

Work Schedule: Full-Time Nights, 8:00pm-6:30am including weekends and some holidays.

Department Highlights:
  • High-Volume, complex laboratory operations
  • Collaborative team atmosphere focused on quality outcomes and patient care
  • State-of-the-art equipment and automation
Qualifications Required:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Compliance with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • Six months of experience in phlebotomy or completion of a one-semester phlebotomy course
  • PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician certification preferred upon hire
  • One year of hospital phlebotomy experience with specimen processing preferred OR
  • Two years of mobile phlebotomy experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:

•Conducts phlebotomy, specimen processing, and limited outpatient services.
  • Adheres to laboratory protocols for handling and processing specimens in a safe manner
  • Follows established procedures for managing unacceptable specimens
  • Implements laboratory test procedures as required
  • Performs tasks in other laboratory areas as needed
