Position Overview: The Regional Senior Manager for Continuous Improvement will consolidate existing site frameworks and resources, crafting and spearheading a multi-year strategic plan aimed at achieving business goals related to Continuous Improvement and Net Productivity enhancement.
This role requires the application of lean methodologies across all operational domains, including production, quality assurance, materials management, maintenance, environmental safety, and a particular emphasis on core conversion productivity, to drive improvements in operational metrics across the network.
This is a full-time remote position that reports directly to the Director of Operations Transformation & OPX.
Key Responsibilities:
In collaboration with each site and TEOA leadership, formulate a multi-year strategy that identifies essential programs to meet overall Business Unit and site-specific net productivity targets. Ensure a systematic process is established for regularly updating and refreshing the overall roadmap, which can be utilized in quarterly forecasting, annual planning, and multi-year strategic planning.
Engage with plant leadership to align on the overall business and site journey, employing change management techniques to secure buy-in for the overarching strategy.
Implement standardized frameworks for execution and reporting that drive ongoing cost reductions.
Work closely with all departments to ensure robust problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies are actively employed, through teaching, coaching, and personal demonstration.
Support sites in cultivating a strong, results-oriented team that executes key improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability embedded within the organization.
Actively contribute to the professional development of employees, identifying key talent and proposing actions to motivate high-potential individuals. Nurture talent and future leaders.
Promote a culture of creativity, agility, efficiency, innovation, and continuous learning within the organization.
Collaborate with the regional operations leader to ensure standardization of processes and approaches across the Business Unit network.
Engage with corporate and segment leaders on key initiatives such as TEBest, Digital Factory, and Automation to support the development and execution of the Business Unit strategy.
Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations, as well as all TE policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field or equivalent experience. A minimum of 12 years of leadership experience in an advanced manufacturing environment, with progressively increasing responsibilities.
Proven experience in leading large-scale continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong foundation in Lean practices, with experience in value stream mapping and implementing lean tools such as 5S+1, Visual Factory, Standard Work, Quick Changeover, Material Replenishment & Flow, and TPM being essential.
Experience in site performance transformation.
Strong team leader and talent developer.
Ability to think strategically while executing tactically to achieve results.
Analytical and data-driven mindset to maintain a comprehensive overview of complex situations.
Adaptability to shifting work priorities in response to a dynamic environment.
Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
